Fernando Residence

An atrium garden at the core of this 3,000 SF house links the street-level to the upper-level at rear. This garden space separates a volume containing the public zone -- an entirely open living, dining, and kitchen area -- from the private zone, comprising several bedrooms, baths and utility rooms, fitted snugly into another volume. The separate components are cloaked by the roof plane and a shell of wood siding to form a larger trapezoidal volume, which conforms to the topography of the site.
