Sharon Lockhart: Lunch Break - The Colby College Museum of Art

An expanded installation of Sharon Lockhart's Lunchbreak exhibition at the Colby College Museum of Art in Waterville, Maine incorporated the portions of the permanent collection galleries of the museum. Lockhart's work was interspersed among historic works from the permanent collection, which were displayed in the classically proportioned galleries of the Lunder Wing. Objects made by workers from the Bath Iron Works were presented alongside 19th century New England crafts and 20th century art works by Calder, Katz, Levine, Nevelson, Rauschenberg and others. Two Lockhart film installations, Lunchbreak and Exit, anchored the show at beginning and end. Lunch Break was shown at other venues in Vienna, Los Angeles, New York, St. Louis, Milan and Castellon.
